real stocks, on Ink

Stocks

Pair your coin with NVIDIA, Apple, Tesla or the S&P 500. On Ink these are real tokens with real markets. Your coin trades against them like against any coin, and everyone pays in ETH.

They sit under the Stocks tab, in the pair step of the form. The market column is each stock's Uniswap pool against USDG. The depth test checks it again, live, at every launch.

How it works

There is no middleman. A tokenized stock on Ink is a token with its own market, a Uniswap pool against USDG (Paxos's dollar). A launch pairs with it exactly like with USDC:

  • Your coin's pool is your coin / wNVDAx on Uniswap v4, opened by the launch like any other.
  • Buying with ETH: the ETH is swapped into the stock on its market, then into your coin, in one transaction. Selling does the reverse and pays out in ETH.
  • Your fees arrive in the stock itself (wNVDAx, …). Hold it, or sell it for ETH on its market.

xStocks, wrapped

The stocks are xStocks, issued by Backed and distributed through Kraken. Each comes in two forms:

  • The xStock (NVDAx, AAPLx, …) is the stock itself. Its balances grow when the company pays a dividend, so the number in your wallet changes on its own. It has no market on Ink.
  • The wrapped xStock (wNVDAx, wAAPLx, …) holds the xStock and keeps your balance fixed: the dividend shows up in its price instead. This is the one that trades, and the only one offered as a pair.

Don't paste a bare …x address as a pair. A pool's balance can't follow a token that changes balances on its own, and it has no market to pass the depth test anyway.

The issuer decides who can hold, redeem or trade each one. xStocks are not offered to US persons, and Backed keeps a sanctions list that can block a wallet's transfers. Octopad doesn't control any of this. Read their terms before you pick one as a pair.

Good to know

  • The exchange closes, these tokens don't. Outside US market hours, the token keeps trading on-chain, and its price can drift from the last close.
  • Stocks without a market aren't listed. Ink has more than 50 xStocks, most with no market at all. Anything not on the list can still be pasted by address, against the higher bar.
